The Aussieraces.com Betting Blog allows you to follow our recommended bets and see how they performed each race day -
Saturday, February 18th Two of our recommended bets saluted for us at the Lightning Stakes meeting at Flemingon today with the highlight being the victory of Under The Hat. We gave the promising galloper a big rap and despite racing three wide he came away to win easily at the finish. We jumped on early at the odds of $3.80 believing the lightly raced 5 year old would be well backed. However, the exact opposite occurred. After racing experts including Greg Miles and Dean Lester weren't overly enthusiastic about the horse's chances on their morning radio show and trainer John Saddler also expressed his reservations on the the Racing Network prior to the event the horse drifted significantly out to odds of $5.50. We rechecked our assessment of the horse's prospects and looked again at its amazing performance at its previous start at the Sandown Lakeside track before deciding to jump on again at the $5.50 odds on offer. Well rated by Australian Apprentice of the Year Jake Noonan Under The Hat loomed up on the home turn and from the 300 metre mark the result never really looked in doubt. Profit for the day : +68%
Wednesday, February 15th Luck wasn't on our side at the Mornington Cup meeting today with both of our recommended bets Zedi Knight and Power O'raylee featuring in the steward reports with the latter pulling up lame. Profit for the day : Nil
Saturday, February 11th We advised our subscribers today's races looked fairly open overall (with the exception of the Orr Stakes which Black Caviar had won a long way from home). The first two of our four recommended bets for the day, Malasun and Specter were brought undone by unsuitable tempos. Our next pick First Command finished a game second behind Eagle Falls which staged somewhat of a form reversal to win at big odds. We gave our final recommended bet for the day Soft Sand a big rap and she lived right up to it by scoring a very easy victory at the value odds of $4.60. Profit for the day : +15.0%
Wednesday, February 8th We had two recommended bets today at Sandown Hillside. We were particularly keen about Skitter in Race 2 but the mare missed the kick and that was the end of the penny section for her. Profit for the day : Nil
Recent Highlights
Saturday, January 28th We had four recommended bets at the Sandown Lakeside track today. In the first three races we found the winner in our top three selections but then we really struck pay dirt in Race 5 when our top rated runner Over Quota won at the big value odds of $15.00. Profit for the day : +275%
Please note : Aussieraces.com is presently taking a short holiday break until January 25th. The next race day that Aussieraces is operating on will be Australia day, Thursday, January 26th.
Wednesday, December 14th Our strategy of being selective in our investing paid dividends again today when we recorded our sixth consecutive profitable race day. From our two recommended bets for the day on the Caulfield races it was Giresun in which came up trumps for our followers at odds of $3.60. Plenty of $4.60 was offered early on but solid backing for the galloper meant that those odds didn't last long. Profit for the day : + 80%

Saturday, December 10th We went into today's races looking for our fifth profitable race day in a row - and we pulled it off - just! We covered four races for the day - two at Flemington and another two at Rosehill. Our first two recommended bets for the day both finished second in their races but then we got onto winners in the next two events with Full Peal @ $1.70 and the Sea Galleon @ $3.10 which took out the Christmas Cup impressively at Rosehill after being backed in from odds of $3.50. Profit for the day : + 4.5%
Wednesday, December 7th We targeted two races at Warwick Farm today. In Race 5 we gave our recommended bet Flying Empress a huge wrap - probably the biggest we have given any horse this year. The 4 year old mare jumped nicely from the gates, traveled well and looked the likely winner a long way from home before scoring easily at odds of $2.80 after as much as $3.50 had been bet. In the next event our recommended bet Double Crescent was the subject of a betting plunge shortening from $6.00 into $4.00 before traveling well in the lead and scoring over the 2400 metre journey. Two selections for two wins and our fourth profitable race day in succession - we're also traveling well! Profit for the Day : +240%
Saturday, December 3rd
The action today was at Caulfield where we had four recommended bets. In Race 5
Infinite Energy got up for us at the
value odds of $5.00 (Rated @ $3.80). As
we told our subscribers the horse had a class and weight advantage over
it's rivals which was always going to make it hard to beat. In the next event
our selection Inablitz charged home
from last to miss out by a margin of just a nose at odds of $5.20. The mare's effort was all the more impressive
as she bled during the run. This
was our third winning day in a row so it was a great week for us.
Profit for the Day : + 25%.
Wednesday, November 30th
We focused on the Canterbury
meeting today and our selective investing approach paid off again. From our two
recommended bets for the day we found the $4.80
winner Praise Be (Rated @ $3.80). Our top three runners in the race Praise Be, Penzevengi
@ $13.10 and Dolphi's Boy @ $12.20
finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A $6 Box Trifecta returned a dividend of $417 on the
NSW TAB. This was the final race day for November and our overall profit for
the month was a whopping +84.4%.
Profit for the day : + 140%.
Saturday, November 26th
We went into the Sandown Hillside meeting with plenty of confidence but then
the rain came in a major way and the track deteriorated from a Dead 4 to a
Heavy 8 during the day. The major problem was that the constant stream of
horses being scratched due to the changing track conditions meant that we had
to continually update our markets and speed maps. On Friday night we saw on the
radar that the rain was on the way so we had a bit of insurance in that all of
our recommended bets for the day could handle the wet. First cab off the rank
was our pick Let's Be Happy which won
easily at the value odds of $6.50. In the very
next event our selection
Sea Galleon romped in at odds of $2.10. With two
winners from our four selections for the day we were as happy as a pig in mud.
Profit for the day : + 115%.
Wednesday, November 16th
We targeted two events at the Canterbury
meeting today and both of our recommended bets won. In Race 3 Unchain My Heart saluted @ $2.20 but we had a much bigger win to celebrate when
our selection Millenium Ruler scored
in Race 6 at $11.20 (Rated $5.00 Fav.). In our analysis we noted that Millenium
Ruler had been involved in a speed battle for the lead with another runner at
its previous start. The other runner compounded and finished last but Millenium
Ruler had won despite using a ton of petrol in the run. Horses rarely do it at
both ends of their races and that outstanding effort was one reason why we were
very keen about his winning chances today.
Profit for the day : + 570%.
Tuesday, November 1st
We ignored all the other races on the card at Flemington and put our entire
focus on picking the Melbourne Cup winner - and our three days of analysis paid
off big time. Our selection Dunaden won
the Cup @ $9.10, our recommended Quinella got up for a $222.80
return (for an $18 outlay) and our recommended Trifecta
was also successful paying a bumper dividend of $4,555.20
(our $20 Flexi bet returned a dividend of $628.61).
Just to put icing on the cake our 'Best Longshot'
in the race Red Cadeaux ran the closest
of seconds and only just got pipped at the post at odds of $52.00.
Profit for the day: + 611%.
Saturday, October 29th
We covered four races on Derby
day at Flemington and had five recommended bets. In the feature race of the
day we backed two selections including Sangster
which raced wide much of the way but which still won impressively won at odds
of $15.20. Our other bet in the race Sabrage finished third at odds of $17.20. In Race 8 our selection Sister Madly got up in an exciting blanket
finish at odds of $4.00.
Profit for the day : + 228%.
